Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Information Management group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Training and Development Specialist! This team works a remote 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Establish and implement training opportunities for Information Management that enable employees, at all levels, to develop the skills and competence needed to be successful in their chosen careers or prepare for new responsibilities by participating in a variety of developmental programs.
  • Identify and work with INL Learning Services to implement training programs that meet the needs of today's workforce given the multiple channels of communication and training currently available
  • Develop and maintain an on-boarding program to ensure a consistent foundation of competence and knowledge to support employees in their career
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Consultant to identify, analyze, design, and evaluate training plans for IM personnel
  • Communicate and provide guidance and tools to leaders and employees to accomplish performance objectives
  • Validate all programs, communication, and training with HR Business Partner team
  • Participate as an IM representative on the INL Employee Development Network team to support all training initiatives
  • Ensure documents, project, processes, or product initiatives follow regulatory requirements and enterprise policy
  • Define and manage processes for Performance Review, including goal setting, Position Description review/update, training, communications, etc.
  • Lead or support assessments as identified by the Directorate to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Support critical initiatives targeted to make improvements needed to move the organization closer to meeting long-range objectives.
  • Work with managers and directors to identify and develop a process to skill current workforce to keep in line with technology advancement.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe, secure, cost-effective, and compliant manner.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience or a master's degree plus 1 year of experience is required or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have experience in developing training programs to support staff development and growth in talent pipeline.
  • Must have excellent skills in writing, verbal communication, relationship management, planning, and organizing.
  • Ability to influence change at all levels and work in a culturally diverse organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about team and laboratory success.

  • Salary Grade 180 ($60,984 - $97,584)
