JOB DESCRIPTION
Salary Grade: U20
$35.31 per hour

DEPARTMENT: TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION LINE

DUTIES:

Under directive supervision of a foreman, utility mechanic or supervisor.

Responsible for minor repair of tools i.e. repair or replace handles or addition of pneumatic oil.

Cleans tools and inspects for damages.

Performs maintenance on small engines and hydraulic/battery-operated tools.

Process documentation for the repair or purchase of tools.

Responsible for the distribution and receiving of tools.

Maintains logs of usage, repair, and location of tools.

Must be windows literate and be able to learn to use and navigate between Excel and Access spreadsheets and other computer based systems.

May maintain stock level items i.e. nuts, bolts, gaskets, hand tools, etc.

Maintains records for cost tracking of tool room activities and supplies.

Develops and produces reports for tool room activity.

May be responsible for transporting tools and tool room supplies to work locations.

Responsible for work area housekeeping.

May be required to operate forklifts or pickups in conjunction with tool room duties.

May work as a helper on line crews.

Performs other assigned tool room area activities.
