TCC Market Operations Engineer

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The NYISO's Operations department invites applications for a full-time TCC Market Operations Engineer in our TCC Market Operations group.
The TCC Market Operations Engineer will be responsible for performing studies and analyses to support up to 32 Transmission Congestion Contract (TCC) auctions annually and other TCC market activities; evaluate the progress of TCC processes and make recommendations for improvements, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
- A minimum of two years industry related or professional experience; however, candidates who possess Senior Engineer skills and qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong working knowledge of TCC and FTR (financial transmission rights) tools, PSS/e, Nexant and SAS are preferred.
The NYISO offers the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely, providing our employees with an enhanced work life balance. While the majority of the responsibilities of this role can be performed remotely, in most cases, employees will have periodic on-site requirements based on business needs.
