Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Audits group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Staff Auditor
Our team works a hybrid/on-site 9x80 schedule located at our REC WCB facility with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
  • As a staff auditor, the primary role is to work with a Senior auditor in carrying out planned audits and special requests.
  • This work is typically performed on a task-by-task basis with significant oversight, mentorship and direction from a senior auditor.
  • Ensure that audit evidence is sufficient, proficient, and relevant to the audit objective.
  • Capture, analyze, and document work performed in TeamMate. Use automated tools and techniques (data visualization and data analytics) to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit.
  • Complete assignments within the timeframe established and requested by the senior auditor.
  • Collaborate and participate in efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of audit techniques and approaches.
  • Assist with special assignments as requested.
  • Conduct audit planning and risk assessments. Assist senior audit staff in completing audit specific risk assessment and crafting the internal audit program.
  • Planning is conducted consistent with internal audit procedures and Institute of Internal Audit standards.
  • With assistance of senior audit staff, help to complete the risk assessment and control matrix.
  • Conduct audits. Follows established internal audit procedures and Institute of Internal Audit standards when conducting audits.
  • Performs tasks assigned by more senior audit staff with close direction and supervision.
  • Completes and documents audit work in TeamMate in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Document audit issues/observations for reporting to management. Using templates provided, prepare proposed issues and observation document for managements review and response. Provide to senior auditor for review.
  • Complete other ancillary duties/activities as required including: completing annual CPE requirements; assisting with self-assessments/reviews; identifying and proposing opportunities for efficiency.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any business related field including accounting, supply chain, data analytics, etc.
