We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Solar Engineer to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) team. As a member of the DERs team, you will assist with driving customer participation in programs that incentivize the adoption of various DERs including; distributed solar, energy storage, demand response, microgrids, and electric vehicle grid integration. These leading-edge energy technologies are critical in driving our nation’s progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide subject matter expertise to verify viable PV designs and engineered solutions in support of project development and construction including; reviewing site information and installation suitability, environmental limitations, structural limitations, etc.
• Manage and assign technical support requests
• Manage technical key performance indicators (KPIs) and review and track timelines
• Oversee team of engineering project managers and subcontractors
• Participating in and presenting engineering work at client meetings
• Lead the overall direction, management, quality control, and completion of project deliverables.
• Monitor the progress of projects and communicating progress to management and clients
• Support development of proposals and business development efforts

Minimum qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, environmental, architectural, or related field)
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering or work experience within solar engineering and design and their interconnection and distribution systems
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and other model codes
• Demonstrated ability to write reports, technical papers, and provide technical presentations to knowledgeable audiences
• Expert experience with solar PV design software tools such as SolarEdge, Helioscope, or equivalent
• Knowledge of industry best practices and technical standards
• Highly detail oriented, strong analytical and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Project management experience including budget development and management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm for work within a diverse, collaborative team
• Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Salary DOE: $92k - $125k/Annually
