  • Xcel Energy's Technology Services organization is in the midst of transforming our support model to focus on a products and service offering with an emphasis on AGILE development methodologies. To support this transition, we are looking for an intern to learn JIRA and JIRA Align applications as well as develop process documentation and procedures for how these tools can be leveraged to support the transformation and daily IT operations. This internship will help establish the future state of how the Xcel Energy Technology Services Application Delivery team develops and deploys technology solutions to the business areas we support.
  • Additionally this intern will collaborate with the business areas being supported, the technology strategy professionals, technical architecture experts, and software deliver teams. Work within this area will allow real world experience in a large rapidly advancing industry.
  • This will be a yearlong opportunity where the candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during a school semester.

Miumum Requirements

  • Must be a senior by Jan 2023
  • Experience in Agile development methologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communications skills
  • Pursuing a degree in software engineering/computer science from an ABET accreditedprogram/school
  • Living in a commutable distance from either the Minneapolis or Denver office
