Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), a leading provider of energy, sustainability, and climate consulting services to the federal government, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to support our Department of Defense clients across the infrastructure, energy, climate, and sustainability portfolios. A successful candidate will enjoy leading and working with small teams to help build a new client-facing portfolio focused on enhancing installation resilience and designed to identify and address gaps in polices, strategies, and projects across the infrastructure, environmental, and energy portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, climate, and data integration; be detail oriented; and be comfortable serving in a client-facing role. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C. area, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions. Some travel may be required with this position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel approaches to cross-functional issues and projects, with the objective of translating those processes and lessons learned into implementable frameworks
  • Work across diverse stakeholder teams to develop innovative and efficient solutions to climate, energy, and infrastructure issues
  • Utilize data mining techniques to analyze the needs of different directorates to identify solutions and systems for improvement
  • Facilitate policy and strategy development focused on improving installation and climate resilience
  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings and forums
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Mentor and assist with the development of junior staff

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, public policy, management, or related discipline with at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Possess an interest in identifying innovative processes and technologies to enhance energy and climate resilience
  • Ability to set and deliver on priorities and operate in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to conduct research, apply principles, concepts, and methodologies to difficult and/or varied assignments
  • Capacity to both lead and work in teams, and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships
  • Provide original and creative input to meet objectives and new assignments
  • Capability to initiate and manage detailed and complex tasks, with a high degree of independence 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Common Access Card (CAC)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations
  • Proven experience in establishing new organizations facing emerging issues
  • Experience with Air Force budgeting processes
  • Familiarity with Air Force/DoD processes and tools
  • Knowledge of Air Force structure and operations
  • Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
