Job Summary:

The PIC Group has an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager, supporting a solutions-based provider of electrical and electrical integration equipment located in New Orleans, LA. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in effectively overseeing a project from inception to delivery, working diligently to maintain the project timeline and budget. The Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and will be a proven team collaborator and effective communicator. The Project Manager will successfully utilize team resources, both internal and external to the company to ensure successful completion of projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the timely integration of numerous product lines simultaneously, to ensure accurate project fulfillment.
  • Set and manage realistic expectations to both clients and vendors.
  • Take initiative and ownership of tasks to efficiently progress projects without unnecessary cost or delays.
  • Create and manage change orders and maintain updated reports as project needs and requirements change throughout project duration.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope, being able to recognize and publish potential issues before they become problematic.
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Ensure all project documents are complete, current, published, and stored appropriately.
  • Work with Sales and Senior Management to develop a communication strategy for difficult project issues.
  • Create accurate costing sheets, cash flow summaries, and project summary reports that are easy to interpret and useful to management.
  • Work directly with all internal teams, providing Continuous Improvement practices to streamline workflow and minimize risk to organization.
  • Effective communication to both customers and suppliers throughout project life cycle that consistently demonstrates superior negotiation and communication skills.
  • Communicate production schedules and effectively expedite project details to meet scheduled shipments in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Facilitate internal and, when required, external project close-out meetings.
  • Identify business development and \"add-on\" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project, customer, or stakeholder.
  • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations and meetings.
Job Requirements:
  • Demonstrate ethical and effective communication that reflect a strong commitment to team collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven track record of managing large capital projects with upwards to $10M in revenue
  • High degree of organization and manage multiple projects and tasks at once.
  • Strong command of continuous improve processes that improve customers' experience through cost saving measures and on time delivery.
  • Unparalleled communication skills to all project stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Project a service mentality that encourages our customers to recognize the value we provide to their process and recognize that our goal is to add value, earn their trust, and secure the next project.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Master's Degree or 5+ years of work managing capital projects up to $10M preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical equipment and electrical integration projects required.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
