Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Maintenance Work Control group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Preventative Maintenance Coordinator.
Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our CFA facility with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
  • Initiate, compile, and disseminate all Maintenance and Operations (M&O) preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and work for others (WFO) work control packages.
  • Develop, define, and implement preventive maintenance justifications (PMJs) and requirements to items on the master equipment list (MEL).
  • Collaborate across multiple fields to ensure work flows efficiently as an M&O work control Point of Contact (POC) and Domain Expert for PM, CM, WFO, and MEL.
Essential Duty Areas:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain qualifications for applicable job code.
  • Perform as backup Work Planning Expediter.
  • Compile and release PM, CM, and WFO work packages to the field.
  • Generate, issue, track and closeout all preventive, planned, expedited, and low risk simple activity work packages.
  • Review completed work orders and resolve feedback.
  • Prepare and issue monthly and annual PM schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain MEL.
  • Assist in developing and implementing equipment/component labeling per company standardization (LST-60).
  • Assist in scheduling and resolving priority conflicts.
  • Provide reporting, tracking, and trend analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with INL processes, procedures and standards [Lab Hazard Identification and Mitigation, Lessons Learned program, Process Architecture for Continuous Excellence (PACE)].
Collateral Duty Areas:
  • Be service-oriented and adaptable to all employees, management, tenants, and customers.
  • Mentor others, when called upon, in all phases of work.
  • Read and understand technical and industrial signs, manuals, and labels.
  • Maintain information on time sheets, charge numbers, Davis Bacon, and other records.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors/managers.
  • Work independently to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Participate in work planning walk downs and craft-hour estimating.
  • Serve as primary OJT for Asset Suite, LabWay, and scheduling for other employees as required.
  • Participate in maintenance assessments as required.
  • Perform material procurement duties as required.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Technical Certificate plus 6 years relevant experience, or 8 years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Experience preferred in equipment maintenance, proceeding writing, and/or journeyman level crafts.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficient use of standard office equipment; demonstrate proficient use of MS Office Suite; prioritize work; be responsible for commitments and action items.
  • Must understand office support functions and possess the ability to effectively apply procedures, and direct and delegate workflow of others as appropriate.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Detailed experience in the application of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in the application of Conduct of Operations and Maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance engineering skills (read, understand, and translate engineering drawings and specifications into maintenance documents).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
