Job Brief

Subject to limited supervision and as directed, operates finishing and other bindery related equipment and functions. Under the direction of junior pressman, pressman or senior pressman, loads and helps with the clean-up of offset presses. Trains on a single color or two-color press. Work is limited to simple and routine printing.

Anyone position may not include all duties nor do the example of duties include all tasks, which may be found in the position of this class.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operation of finishing equipment
  • Routine maintenance on finishing and printing equipment.
  • Packaging and record keeping for all jobs handled.
  • Assists in receiving and inventory of paper and supplies.
  • Performs and other related work as required or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Employee must work safely and efficiently in the performance of their job duties. Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and the public. Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and have the ability to accurately and legibly complete applicable paperwork. May be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime.


Experience

1 year of experience as a Pressman Helper (Print Shop) or Trade Bindery (outside vendor) or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to work in positive and effective manner with both internal and external customers

Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
