Planning Analyst, Interconnection Projects
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The NYISO's System and Resource Planning department invites applications for a full-time Analyst in our Interconnection Projects group.
As a Planning Analyst you will assist management, engineers and administrators on scheduling, budget preparation and control, records control, project management, data analysis, research and special management studies. A key function of the Planning Analyst position will be in performing "triage" function on incoming work assignments; assess priority status; determine resources needed and available; schedule into workflow; guide workflow using a project management model; and make decisions to resolve conflicts in project schedules, resources and priorities. As a Planning Analyst you will have exposure to many facets of the System and Resource Planning for the NYISO.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Two years of related experience analyzing and interpreting: documents and notifications, agreements and contracts, billing, budgeting, purchase orders, problem solving and project management required.
- Experience with report writing and MS Office applications and programs needed. A basic understanding of electric power systems desired; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience .
