Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Research and Education Campus (REC) Facility Operations group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a REC Operations Support! This team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Idaho Falls facility with every Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for various duties to support Facilities Operations for the Research and Education Campus (REC).
  • Metrics development and tracking which includes assessing overall key performance indicators and providing solutions to problems and opportunities.
  • Maintain the REC Facilities Operations 5-year plan and risk register, and contribute to REC projects which include project integration, procurement, tracking project progress and execution.
  • Support efforts to establish and maintain tenant use agreements across the REC and supporting activities to ensure compliance with radiological, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in assessments to support REC Operations and act as a liaison between the operations staff and performance assurance.
  • Responsible to work with necessary collaborators to support the completion of project landmarks for REC projects and work tasks.
  • Work closely with Facility Managers and CFRs to determine resources needed for projects; participate in readiness reviews; participate in facility commissioning/decommissioning activities.
  • Work with system engineering to write and/or give input to statements of work.
  • Work with facility operations, project managers, construction management, and other collaborators to ensure project activities are conducted in a manner that minimizes impact on operations, projects, and programs and provides solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Responsible to support the establishment or modification of TUAs for facilities across the REC.
  • This role will support the coordination with necessary internal customers to ensure the REC TUAs are accurate and completed in a timely manner to support the needs of the facility and tenants.
  • This role requires periodic assessments to validate TUAs are being followed and TUAS reflect actual facility and tenant conditions.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Level 2: Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' experience or Advanced Degree and 1 year experience; 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Level 3: Baccalaureate Degree and 5 years' experience or Advanced Degree and 3 years' experience; 13 years of experience related in lieu of degree.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Related experience includes industrial maintenance, facilities operations, project management or project coordination, nuclear operations, and/or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication and presentations to senior leadership regarding project statuses, etc.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal guidance and general direction.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes.

  • Salary Grade 180 ($62,640 - $100,224) / Salary Grade 200 ($81,288 - $134,100)
