Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Nursing Services Group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Occupational Health Nurse.
Our team works on-site working various shifts at our INL Medical Clinic.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide Medical coverage for in-house Occupational Injuries/Illnesses and urgent personal medical injury/illnesses.
  • Assistance/care for First-aid and walk-in Emergencies.
  • Accompany all Ambulance responses on-site as well as Off Site to provide 'Emergency Care' in the Advanced Role when deemed, perform routine testing for occupational physicals, and optional wellness exams.
  • Assist in and perform administrative duties as need for each medical clinic.
  • Other assignments and occupational nursing duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Requirements:
  • RN License in the State of Idaho.
  • Minimum of Two years in the nursing field, preferably ER and/or ICU.
  • Occupational Nursing experience desired, but not required.
  • Provide Medical Care to on-site employees for Occupational injury/illnesses.
  • Triage, treatment, referral and/or follow-up rehabilitative care.
  • Oversight of general patient flow, delivery of services and/or follow-up rehabilitative care.
  • Oversight of general patient flow, delivery of services and/or treatment regimes per MD orders.
  • Respond to walk-in emergencies as well as emergencies in the field, accompanying the ambulance (Fire Dept. EMT's) on-foot responses may also be a demand for field response.
  • Collection of samples and lab testing; drug screen collection, breath alcohols, U.A.'s, Phlebotomy, EKG's, PFT's, strep screens.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Safety Programs.
  • Assist with Equipment Quality Checks daily.
  • Keyboarding; input of patient data.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to work alone/independently.
  • The following Certifications are desirable for the position.
  • Provided post hire and are required to be maintained: EMT Certification and higher as described by the State and National Protocols, Drug Screen Collection Certification, Breath Alcohol Screening Certification.
