Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Demonstration Infrastructure and Support/Partner group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Nuclear Net Zero Technical Program Manager.
Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule located at our Research Education Campus with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
The Nuclear Net Zero Technical Program Manager is in the C300 division and has primary responsibilities related to both the National Reactor Innovation Center and the INL Net Zero Program. This person leads NRIC efforts to enable demonstration of non-electric applications of nuclear energy, included in integrated energy systems, in close collaboration with partner DOE programs and INL divisions. This includes overall management of NRIC projects in this area.
This person is also responsible for leading efforts for the nuclear energy role in INL's Net Zero program, including seeing opportunities for NS&T researchers and other staff to contribute to and participate in those efforts. The lead will identify ways to demonstrate the INL Net Zero effort to benefit the development and demonstration of innovations at INL, including identifying and pursuing relevant funding opportunities. The lead will also act as nuclear energy expert to assist the NZ team and provide technical input to presentations and seminars related to INL's Net Zero program.
Minimum Requirements:
  • BS and 5 yrs. experience or MS and 3 yrs. experience or PhD and 2 yrs. experience
  • BS and 8 yrs. experience or MS and 6 yrs. experience or PhD and 4 yrs. experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience/background in nuclear energy, non-electric applications of nuclear energy, micro-grids, and/or integrated energy systems
  • Strategy development/planning skills
