Job Brief

The Middleware Systems Analyst will work with the Integration and Middleware Support Team, ITS and business partners by providing support for technologies like BizManager/SecureLink (EDI/B2B), AppDynamics (application performance monitoring), Splunk (application logging), IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, IBM DB2 Connect and TIBCO (integration tools). The Integration and Middleware Support team is a dynamic group requiring an individual with a diverse set of skills who can learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements. The position is a great opportunity to work with industry leading technologies while gaining experience in cloud system integrations, Java Message Service, PowerShell scripting, XML concepts, RDBMS interactions, and complex SQL queries.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing, managing and supporting integration and middleware products

• Responsible for configuring and supporting external B2B data exchanges

• Responsible for configuring and supporting application monitoring and logging tools

• Responsible for basic Windows/Linux administration

• Manages and supports the infrastructure upon which integration and middleware applications run

• Works with team members to proactively identify issues/risks and provide solutions

• Works with team members to deliver project artifacts such as technical requirements and design documents

• Participates in the development and support of integration solutions

• Mentors other team members when applicable

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years' experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.

Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years' experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
