Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) MFC Training group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Training Coordinator.
Our team works a hybrid 4x10 schedule located at our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a training coordinator reporting to the MFC Training Manager within the MFC Business Division.
INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for DOE-NE, providing much of the nuclear research, development, and demonstration capability needed to move nuclear innovation forward to deployment. MFC hosts a unique combination of personnel, facilities and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel design, development and fabrication through post irradiation analysis.
Work with a high degree of independence and advanced computer skills to provide all aspects of MFC personnel training coordination in accordance with applicable regulatory and company requirements. Key functions of the role are:
  • Support the MFC Training department by performing training coordination activities to ensure MFC personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform their assigned tasks
  • Training coordination activities include use of the TRAIN application to develop, maintain, and administer job codes, qualifications, employee training plans, required readings, administrative forms and reports; track employee training requirements and schedule training compatible with employee work schedules; ensure training documentation is correct and entered into the TRAIN system; and process training administrative actions per Lab-wide Training and Qualification Manual
  • Provide all aspects of training record coordination for MFC Training Department in accordance with applicable regulatory drivers and company procedures. This includes filing, data entry into company databases, and preparing training records for permanent storage. Serve as a training records and schedule interface for all levels of management, subject matter experts, instructors, employees and assessors
  • Assist the MFC Training Records Coordinator (training as well as non-training records) maintaining satellite files, records management plan, record transmittals and record validations
Minimum Requirements:
  • HS and 4 years relevant experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience as a training coordinator
  • Vocational Certificate in office or business management
  • Experience with a training records system such as TRAIN
  • Proficient and competent computer skills with MS Office Suite
  • Customer focused, self-directed, have excellent telephone and communication skills, and be able to interface with all levels of management, SME's, and training specialists, customers, and internal and external auditors.
  • High degree of organizational skills and be able to handle multiple and often times competing tasks with a high level of competence
  • Excellent attention to detail in quality checking training records, keying in training record data, and setting up schedules
