Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Workforce Development and Training (WDT) department within the Infrastructure Assurance and Analysis division supporting multiple National and Homeland Security cybersecurity programs.

Responsibilities Include:
As a member of the WDT department the individual will participate in our mission to enable the cyber resiliency of critical infrastructure for the United States through the innovative application and integration of cybersecurity workforce development and training practices and technology.
  • In this role, the individual's main responsibilities will include utilizing their knowledge of control systems operation and cybersecurity to: Participating in components of cyber defense activities up to and including national level exercises.
  • Gain experience from peers and senior staff in OT cybersecurity practices and methodologies necessary to implement these practices.
  • Share and coordinate vulnerability and cyber workforce gap information and threat analysis through information products not limited to reports, briefings, articles, etc.
  • Determine mitigation techniques and translate this information into cyber workforce development education roadmaps.
  • Build immersive OT cyber labs that improve INL capabilities to educate the nation's cyber workforce in a more effective and efficient manner allowing them to properly defend the critical infrastructure of the United States.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred degree fields are : Cybersecurity, or other cyber technical 2yr degree. Degrees that demonstrate a strong focus on professional skills is important due to the wide variety of customer interaction this position will have with critical infrastructure owners and operators.
  • Bachelor's degree required at job start with a minimum of 2 year focus on OT cybersecurity (a 2yr cyber associates is acceptable).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
