Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Service Management group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an ITIL Service Management Office Lead! This team works a remote 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead of the ITIL SMO and Practice/Process owners on the team.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and execution activities to increase adoption of and/or continual improvement in the Release Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Request Management ITIL Practices.
  • Work with the Department Manager in support of work package and budget related activities for the ITIL SMO team and coordination and prioritization of work being performed by team members.
  • Perform activities related to requirements gathering and documentation of applicable ITIL practices and make recommendations, implement metrics for tracking adoption and success of these practices.
  • Assist Practice Owners with strategic roadmap and adoption/continual improvement activities
  • Leadership and organization of ITIL strategies and practices owned by the ITIL SMO
  • Work with Department Manager to coordinate ITIL SMO Practice/Process owners for work assignment, execution, and delivery.
  • Metrics definition, tracking and reporting of ITIL practices
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years' experience in Information Technology or advanced degree plus 6 years' experience in Information Technology or a minimum of 16 years overall experience in Information Technology in lieu of a degree.
  • Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
  • At least 5 years of the overall experience should be demonstrable leadership role.
  • Three years' experience implementing, executing, or adhering to ITIL Practices.
  • ITIL V4 foundations certified
  • Demonstrable experience within the ServiceNow platform and its associated modules, products, and applications
Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate with the business to understand requirements and present back findings and recommendations in terms of the potential value to the organization.
  • Strong teammate and effective coordinator for reporting and action items. Organizational skills
  • The ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences at all levels
  • Understanding of leading complex projects and programs and coordination of work activities
Job Information
  • Salary Grade 220 ($104,688 - $172,668)
