Job Summary:

PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for a high energy, organized and detail-oriented Inventory Material Analyst to support a large 1000MW multi-unit power plant with simple cycle and combined cycle units located in Queens, NY. The Inventory Material Analyst will report to the Budgets & Inventory Manager and will play a key role at the Plant's receiving department for support of the warehouse and ordering of materials such as spare parts, replacement parts, and materials necessary for the day-to-day operation of the plant. The Materials Analyst will also assist with inventory control and materials management activities such as inventory tagging, product placement, ordering and supplier management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Position reports directly to the Budgets & Inventory Manager.
  • Receiving, unpacking, and checking of incoming goods against shipping documents
  • Organizing and verifying materials received are properly stored and protected while warehoused.
  • Ensuring materials received are visibly marked and accessible by warehouse staff.
  • Replenishing stock and non-stock parts and materials to maintain management approved on hand inventory levels.
  • Enter Goods Receipts in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, for both stock and non-stock materials
  • Issue and return stock material as needed and document in EAM.
  • Generating a Pick Tickets and enter Requisitions in EAM for stock and non-stock materials.
  • Maintain stock and non-stock parts as required, including minor warehouse parts such as lubrications, shaft rotations, battery change outs, and / or clean-ups, and basic facilities maintenance supplies.

Job Requirements:
  • Distribute all delivered materials throughout the site
  • Interact with vendors, requesting quotes for necessary materials, follow up on order statuses, and track delivery times.
  • Scheduling outgoing pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Assist in inventory cycle and wall -to- wall inventory counts.
  • Support warehouse as needed
  • Basic knowledge of tools and industrial equipment
  • Basic knowledge of power plant components is preferred.
  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with all levels of personnel

Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in varying climates involved in a plant environment

Education / Experience:
  • HS Education preferred, or GED and combination of 2 to 4 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse and/or inventory control position
  • Forklift driving experience required.
  • MS Word and Excel experience required.
