Job Summary and Essential Functions

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO invites applications for a full-time summer intern on the Performance Monitoring and Compliance team.

This intern will be working within our Performance Monitoring and Compliance team to help update our generator details list. This will include finding and documenting current generator lists, organizing and improving the active generator technical data, running queries, and combining the results in a comprehensive spreadsheet. This is a great opportunity to learn about the NYISO Generator fleet.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in undergraduate or graduate degree program focused on Engineering.
  • Experience with databases a plus.
