Our team works a remote/hybrid/on-site 9x80 schedule located at our REC facility with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for INL secure network systems and individual work stations.
  • Primarily, the position addresses the roles, responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities of an ISSM addressing the oversight, mentoring and training of the Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) and system administration functions for multiple classified networks, multiple individual work stations, equipment maintenance and upgrades, software maintenance and upgrades for multiple classified networks.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ISSO's & system administrators for protection of the systems and quality of user service; development of network support system and staff capabilities and performance expectations and standards; system planning and troubleshooting.
  • Project security management, research and support services on N&HS research programs (e.g., ICS CERT, NSUF-WTB, etc.,) for the INL SCIF in support of the US Intelligence Community, DOE Office of Intelligence & Counterintelligence, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Law Enforcement.
  • Coordinate and provide a wide range of complex and high quality support services for classified networks, information, and physical security systems.
  • Lead work load and to maintain current working knowledge of technology trends and advancements, pertinent company (DOE, INL) procedures, requirements and policies.
  • The position provides security consultation with the Secure Operations Manager, Special Security Officers (SSOs), N&HS Leadership, DOE-IN and DOE-ID counterparts to assist in assuring compliance with all applicable Executive Orders, Director of National Intelligence Directives, and DOE Procedures.
  • Ensuring all assigned activities are performed in a secure manner and in accordance with applicable laboratory excellence procedures, within safety authorizations, in accordance with security plans and requirements, in accordance with environmental approvals and in full compliance with Laboratory, State, federal policies, procedures, directives, and regulations. Responsible for maintaining high standards related to simultaneous excellence in mission, safety, security, and environmental stewardship.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate & 8 years, or advanced degree & 6 years experience of equivalent experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
