Human Resource Analyst
Salary Grade: G08
Minimum Midpoint Maximum
$58,128 - $77,021 - $95,912
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, analyzes, administers, and delivers, one to two Human Resources (HR) functions, including: staffing, compensation, benefits, HRIS, labor relations, employee relations, org development, or compliance. Provides guidance on all aspects of the specified HR functions. Researches and analyzes inquiries and develops recommendations for resolution. Analyzes HR data and develops recommendations on new and revised HR solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compiles, analyzes, researches, and reconciles data; generates reports for clients, management, and other constituencies; provides individual counseling to clients, as appropriate
- Analyzes and processes HR information and documentation to comply with policies, plans, contractual provisions, and relevant laws and regulations
- Communicates to internal and external clients on aspects and application of HR solutions
- Provides input into the implementation, processing and/or modification of information and documentation to assist with the completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable state/federal regulations
- Recommends inputs to the Human Resources Information System, ensuring accuracy of information and, recommending corrections and adjustments as necessary
- Supports the production of a range of HR information materials
- Provides analysis and support for the investigation and resolution of problems
- Serves as a liaison with vendors and/or regulatory bodies in the resolution of specific client concerns
- Participates in the review of HR operating procedures, policies, and systems, including automated systems and process improvements
- Assists in the analysis and evaluation of requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Works on projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to analyze HR data, systems, programs, policies, and procedures
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
- Knowledge and understanding of HR principles, practices, procedures, and documentation, as applicable to the Company
- Knowledge of HR related state and federal laws
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Skill in developing procedure documentation
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to communicate information
- Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate HR events
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapts to changing client and organization needs
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree with one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software
- Ability to utilize HRIS to accomplish job functions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
