ISO New England's Resource Qualification group helps New England to meet its future electricity needs by facilitating the entry, participation, and exit of resources through the Forward Capacity Market. This Analyst position with the Resource Qualification group is responsible for administering the Forward Capacity Market entry and exit processes for Demand Capacity Resources.

Hybrid work schedule with up to 3 days remote

How you will make an impact
  • Lead Forward Capacity Market qualification reviews for Demand Capacity Resources, which include energy efficiency, load management and distributed generation
  • Communicate with Forward Capacity Market participants and New England stakeholders on matters related to the participation of Demand Capacity Resources in the Forward Capacity Market
  • Support administrative processes and policy development related to the participation of Demand Capacity Resources in the Forward Capacity Market
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in science, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Attention to detail, especially when managing large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Desired not required
  • Knowledge of the energy field, such as wholesale/retail electricity markets, energy regulatory or energy policy
  • Knowledge of ratepayer funded energy efficiency program implementation, evaluation or regulation
  • Knowledge of ISO/NEPOOL tariff, markets and processes
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and database management software, including but not limited to SAS, Visual Basic, Oracle/SQL, MS Access, MS Excel
  • Computer programing skills (such as Python) to automate resource qualification activities
