Job Brief

Job Responsibilities

• Have a general passion for learning about the energy sector
• The internship is in Tempe, AZ and will be a mix of in-person and remote based work
• Professionalism, punctuality and a service and team-oriented attitude are required
• Perform self-driven research projects to further understand electricity demand in conjunction with resident SRP experts
• Develop analytical solutions and recommendations to produce meaningful results
• Strong problem-solving skills with a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams
• Strong programming and data management skills, with experience in mathematical and statistical modeling highly regarded
• Visualization experience with Excel, Tableau or Power BI is desired
• Experience with Python or R is desired
• Experience with SQL Server databases, T-SQL queries and ETL is desired
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Seeks a wide range of opportunities for growth and development
• Performs other functions and duties as assigned

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

Additional Information

• Degree major in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field is preferred
• Candidate must be actively enrolled in a higher education program to be eligible (enrolled in at least 6 college credits)
• Internship can be on a part or full-time basis to accommodate class schedules. Initial posting is for the Fall Semester (January - May), with opportunity to renew the posting through the summer and beyond with strong performance.
