Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Radiological Control Program Operations group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Claim's Processor! This team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Willow Creek facility with every Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Energy Employees' Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) - Able to accurately, completely, and efficiently perform detailed searches, discoveries and analyses of various occupational records (e.g., personnel, radiological dose exposure, occupational medical, incident/accident, industrial hygiene, security badging records, etc.) to identify employment verification, exposure to radiation and exposure to other toxic substances for claimants of the EEOICPA.
  • The requests for information are received from the Department of Labor (DOL) and National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), in an effort for them to reconstruct a claimant's work history and exposures while at the INL.
  • Use existing electronic, hardcopy and/or microfiche records, reconstruct and compile detailed information on when and where the claimant worked at the INL, their job titles and/or descriptions, which agency, contractor, or subcontractor they worked for, any toxic substances they may have been exposed to, and any radiation exposure they received while employed at the INL.
  • Use attention to detail, independently performs document control and records management tasks that are routine to complex in nature (e.g., properly marking Official Use Only / Personally Identifiable Information, collating, copying, controlling distribution, releasing, scanning, filing, indexing, data-entry, etc.).
  • Provide detailed instruction and guidance, but demonstrates reliability, consistency and quality of output.
  • Occasionally train others on defined tasks.
  • Identify and assist in resolving problems.
  • Independently interact with peers at the group level.
  • Help compile data for monthly budget report for DOE.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2 years related experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to effectively prioritize.
  • Experience/knowledge of business computer work station technology (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Document Management System, and imaging technology)
  • Experience with Research and data collection
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Able to work with 'Privacy Act' and 'Official Use Only' information in a confidential manner.
  • Able to occasionally lift 35lb records storage boxes.

  • Salary Grade 130 ($35,568 - $56,868)
