Project Description:
Long-term Co-Op or summer Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering internship position in Becker, MN (just outside of the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area). The role requires being onsite. The Co-Op requires working full time from May 2023 - December 2023. Applicants must be able to relocate for the duration of the employment to work at the Sherco Generating Facility, or already live within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Work with the engineering staff to support the Sherco Solar Installation and other capital work at the Sherco generating facility. Will perform entry level engineering analysis doing tasks supporting both project management and construction. Tasks include submittal coordination, drawing support, construction planning and oversight, safety observations, and vendor outreach and coordination. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional and technical skills

Minimum Requirements
•Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering program
• A Junior or above as of Spring 2023
• Graduating Seniors as of Spring 2023 (not continuing to Graduate School) are not eligible to participate
• Must have reliable personal transportation
