This internship is 100% onsite in Amarillo, Texasand only local candidates will be considered.

This position is full-time in the summer (40 hours/week), with the potential for continuation for part-time work during the school year, and/or the summer of the following year.

Start: January 2023

Position Summary
Through practical laboratory experience and mentoring, successful candidates will gain significant professional confidence and people skills. Work with laboratory staff to complete tasks related to the following systems; water chemistry and analysis, lubricant analysis, fuels analysis, and general chemistry instrumentation. Tasks may include collection, preparation and analysis of samples.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be currenlty enrolled in a college or university for a bachelor of sciencc, majoring in chemistry or biology
  • Prefer Sophomore or above including graduate students
  • Current living in theAmarillo, TX area, and able to commute to the worksite within an hour
  • Familiar working in a laboratory setting
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Abilityto communicate effectively; both written and verbally
  • Must be self- motivated, and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Submit an official or unoffical transcript with application


PreferredRequirements

 

  • Able to commit to the internship for 12 months or longer
