Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) SMC group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a technical career as a Project Engineer.
As a CADD Administrator, you'll be in a technical, hands-on role, responsible for the administration of nationwide collaborative Computer-Aided Design Drafting (CADD) System, using Parametric Technologies Corporation (PTC) Windchill, PTC Thingworx, PTC Mathcad, PTC Simulate, and PTC CREO products including other CADD program data and design documents managed by Windchill.

(Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our SMC facility with every/every other Friday off)
Responsibilities Include:
  • Work in a dynamic environment with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering departments to enforce CADD standards, validate Engineering 3D Models, and be the Engineering authority on CADD modeling techniques and standards.
  • Provide business administration functions for the CADD System (PTC Windchill) on three separate computer networks.
  • Monitor computer and network equipment operation; setting up and maintaining software and hardware backups.
  • Software patch and upgrade installations.
  • Active directory, LDAP, and group policy administrator.
  • Add and remove users.
  • Operating system and application setting adjustments to improve operation.
  • Database performance monitoring and adjustment.
  • Recommend and initiate equipment replacements/installations to reduce maintenance costs, improve reliability, increase capacity, increase capability, and replace old equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Level 3: BS + 5 years relevant experience, MS + 3 years relevant experience
  • Level 4: BS + 8 years relevant experience, MS + 6 years relevant experience
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
