Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Business Management group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Business Manager.
The Business Operations Manager serves as the financial and business lead in the Energy & Environment Science and Technology (EE S&T) Directorate and as a liaison between EE S&T and Business Management by assisting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director and Chief Financial Officer in fulfilling laboratory-level financial fiduciary responsibilities
Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule located at our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
The Business Operations Manager works with (EE S&T) Associate Laboratory Director, Chief Operations Officer, and the EE S&T leadership team to assess, develop and implement integrated tools/processes to deliver on strategic business objectives and business performance goals, ensuring effective business operation of the EE S&T Directorate.
  • The primary focus will be developing and leading an operational business organization in EE S&T in which strategic business objectives, outcomes, and management decisions are driven through an integrated, holistic business approach. Business operation oversight includes: financial (org management, program development, professional development, LDRD), contracts and agreements, contract assurance, proposals, and communications.
  • This position has the primary responsibility of the management of business operations in support of the EE S&T and laboratory's mission.
  • The position is fully accountable for home organization management and assigned EE S&T organization responsibilities, ensuring high-quality business management services are provided to the Energy & Environment Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Business Management SLT.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and ten (10) years relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and eight (8) years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Level of experience and skills that allow roles and responsibilities to be performed with little to no management oversight.
Job Information
Salary: Grade 230 ($118,020 - $200,808)
