Work with the Xcel Energy Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to support the development and maturity of the EPMO team. The EPMO team is an internal services team with a mission to execute enterprise strategy through projects with significant business process, technology enablement, and change through a structured and rigorous process to ensure successful finance, supply chain, audit and risk outcomes. This is executed through three types of services: providing self-serve tools, standing up capital projects, and providing full management of strategic programs. The team include a handful of projects managers who function as an internal consulting group, working largely independently on assigned projects.

Work as a Project Management Office associate doing tasks that support development and maturity of Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) structure and tools used to deliver EPMO services internally as well as coordinate reporting of EPMO team outcomes through established reporting processes. Tasks would focus on information/tools management, team reporting, and team promotion with tasks such as conducting content/formatting audits on existing team materials, leading/managing the review, revision, and republishing of existing team framework and tools, management and updating of the EPMO internal SharePoint site, supporting project managers in promoting the team and its services to internal stakeholders, responsibility for coordinating updates to scorecard files and weekly reports.

Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence, people skills, and an understanding of how to promote and position an internal services team. This internship opportunity provides experience and grows skills sets preferred for a post-graduation entry-level position in the Career Launch [rotational development] program at Xcel Energy.

This will be a year-long opportunity ideally starting in January. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during the school semesters
