ISO New England's Auctions team is at the intersection of the wholesale market and transmission system, where members of the team utilize market & transmission system knowledge to administer and operate the ISO New England wholesale market.

The Auctions' team primary responsibility is conducting auctions for the following markets:
  • Forward Capacity Market
  • Financial Transmission Rights
  • Locational Forward Reserve Market
How You Will Make an Impact
  • Administer the Forward Capacity Market auctions and associated processes, to include the Forward Capacity Auction, Reconfiguration Auctions, Capacity Supply Obligation Bilateral Contracts and Annual Reconfiguration Auction Transactions
    • Coordinate inputs, execute auction clearing process, and validate results
  • Operate the Financial Transmission Rights market
    • Develop Financial Transmission Rights assumptions, prepare cases, execute and validate auction results
    • Administrate Auction Revenue Rights process
  • Conduct the Locational Forward Reserve Market auction.
    • Develop assumptions, prepare cases, execute and validate auction results
  • Other duties as assigned
    • Carry-out ancillary functions related to the administration of the wholesale markets
    • Perform ad-hoc queries, analysis, and reporting
    • Support projects and changes to the Auctions group processes & software
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent work experience is required
  • Knowledge of wholesale electric markets and auctions
  • Understanding of the ISO New England control area transmission system
  • Demonstrated ability to make quality decisions in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent memory retention, recall, & recollection
  • Project management, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Expertise in utilizing databases and Structured Query Language
