Job Summary and Essential Functions

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO's Finance department invites applications for a full-time Associate Settlements Operations Analyst.

The Associate Settlements Operations Analyst will be responsible for screening billing determinant data for completeness and accuracy using a number of prescribed procedures involving structured analyses of dispatch interval and hourly meter data and performance tracking reporting upon observed variances and anomalies.Additionally, perform and maintain settlements-related accounting transactions; create and maintain standard settlements-related reports and administer a weekly and monthly invoicing process to support Market Settlements functions.Identify issues; perform data entry, manual calculations and preliminary market accounting work under the guidance of Analysts and Senior Analysts.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree (AS, AAS, Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance) required
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and attention to detail required
  • Zero - Two years related analyst experience, utility industry or market trading desired, using financial and accounting systems, NYISO or Market Participant experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
