Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Post Irradiation Exam & PRJ EX group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a AFC Program Support Specialist.
Our team works an on-site 9x80 schedule located at ourResearch Education Campus with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
The AFC program support specialist will manage general program business operations and organizational oversight to the Advanced Fuels Campaign (AFC) program. The AFC Program is a complex and high-paced $30M/year program requiring the AFC support specialist to interface with multiple industry partners and other national laboratories, INL senior management and employees, DOE Idaho Operations Office, DOE-HQ, and other outside entities. Candidate will arrange and manage large program working events and workshops that include both domestic and international stakeholders. Manage development, processing, and approval of security plans and program external visits. Will work with department admins to ensure staff travel is requested and reimbursements are consistent. Arrange for visa applications and US sponsorship letters for foreign travel, input foreign travel in tracking matrices and DOE-NE PICSNE system and ensure security plans are prepared as required. Work with other DOE Laboratories and/or vendors to schedule travel logistics, including accommodations, meeting venues, and meals/refreshments. Maintain Program records and files and ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive and controlled documents. Candidate will identify milestones and support the preparation of deliverable documentation communicate and provide guidance to Program regarding INL policies and procedural guidelines and implement and track program specific training as required. Instructions and assignments to Program staff will be communicated and interaction with other organizations will be required in the execution of objectives. Candidate will also organize the Program administrative duties in accordance with Program National Technical Director's needs and identifies and implements process improvements to improve quality and timeliness of deliverables. Prepare various program and directorate reports and presentations, including collecting, drafting, editing and finalizing documents. Manage the AFC programs external Sharepoint sites and identifies programs' needs and directs personnel in maintaining the external Sharepoint site.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10 years of relevant experience required
  • Relevant experience for this position is working experience in a federally funded research and development environment
  • Experience should include direct support of groups and teams, development and tracking of program generated documentation, and coordination of Program business efforts
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

  • Salary Grade: 170 ($54,192 - $86,760)/180 ($60,984 - $97,584)
