Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Mateials and Fuels Complex Operations group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Advanced Reactor Demonstration Manager DOME/Pele.
Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
With the establishment of the National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) and subsequent re-purposing of MFC facilities (DOME/ZPPR) to support advanced reactor development the Director of MFC Operations formed the Advanced Demonstration Reactor Organizations (U041/U042). The Advanced Reactor Demonstration Manager DOME/Pele reports and is responsible to the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Deputy Director for management of all aspects of coordination, planning, and eventual safe operations of the assigned facility and reactor projects. General duties include:
Manage all aspects of facility operations, planning, and coordination with partners and team members. This includes a focus on strategic planning and coordination.
Establishment of and continued growth of a healthy Nuclear Safety Culture in the organization.
Ensure all project team partners and other support organizations cohesively work together to meet company programmatic objectives.
Management and mentoring of subordinate Operations managers and/or Facility Shift Supervisors.
Will be required to qualify as a Nuclear Facility Manager.


Minimum Requirements:
  • 15 years of applicable experience, and/or Baccalaureate degree in applicable field plus 7 years of experience
  • Applicable experience includes, but is not limited to, the operation, maintenance or engineering of nuclear reactors
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a reactor supervision or management position in operations
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous Senior Reactor Operator qualification (license or equivalent certification) at a nuclear reactor required
Job Information:
  • Salary Grade 230 ($118,020 - $200,808)
