Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) organization is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Administrative Assistant for ATR Programs.
Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our ATR with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
  • Reporting directly to the ATR Complex ALD and Executive Administrator, provide administrative support to the ATR Programs Department Management and staff. All duties are performed with general direction or supervision assuming full responsibility for efficient office operations and organization for the department.
  • Support all ATR Programs departments on an as needed basis and do cross training.
  • Demonstrate positive friendly demeanor, self-initiative, independence, good interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Distribute office correspondence and mail, proof and format documents in accordance with Lab standards, and calendar scheduling.
  • Schedule meetings and corresponding conference rooms, and type a wide variety of information, from rough draft and handwritten materials.
  • Perform assignments under general supervision, such as the ordering of office supplies, computers, printers, multi-purpose copiers, and office furniture using the Asset Suite/ARIBA system and Purchase Card.
  • Perform employee moves and act as telephone coordinator responsible for move and telephone requests within the ATR Complex who may need assistance.
  • Use rotation schedule to track and assist with management safety share input to the Daily Focus.
  • Perform as Records Management Coordinator in charge of maintaining and storage of records for the ATR departments.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and transfer of used office equipment, furniture and supplies to Excess Property.
  • Prioritize work done for the department by other groups and persons.
  • Monitor, organize, and balance administrative work within the department including arranging business travel.
  • Perform time-sensitive tasks including collaborating with external customers, i.e., DOE including taking action in presentations and meetings.
  • Maintain qualifications such as records coordinator, P-Card administrator, telephone coordinator, move coordinator and other required qualifications.
  • Show initiative and take professional development courses designed to improve skills in the administrative and information technology areas.
  • Demonstrate competency at the level of responsibility.
  • Work with assigned administrative team and ALD's Executive Assistant to ensure professional administrative standards across the organization and represent a professional and responsive image.
  • Resolve issues within area of specialization.
  • Provide alternative approaches to fulfill customer needs.
  • Demonstrate innovation in addressing routine as well as non-routine assignments.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma and 0-2 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate computer software capabilities.
  • Ability to work with independence and creativity to accomplish self-initiated, as well as directed, work activities.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Job Information
  • Salary Grade - AS0100 - 120 ($32,328 - $51,720) / AS0200 - 130 ($35,568 - $56,868)
