$50,991 - $67,562 - $84,134
Personnel in this job title may be covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards. If the position is covered, prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.
SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, provides assistance to management and administers special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts reviews of current operations, systems, or programs for efficiency and effectiveness
Recommends changes and improvements where appropriate
Serves as the functional unit or managerial unit Budget Coordinator
Monitors budget variance reports and budget changes for compliance with company policy and department budget guidelines
Acts as a liaison between the manager or executive and his or her direct reports
Oversees project plans and coordinates projects for management
COMPETENCIES:
In-depth knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques
In-depth knowledge of budgeting systems and budget variance reporting
Excellent organization and planning skills
Ability to pay attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and five to six years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to write correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to identify and resolve problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand and walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time and talk and listen for long periods of time. Manual dexterity and the ability to reach is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment.
May require some travel.
