The requirement to provide Time of Use (TOU) rate plans is becoming more and more prevalent across the US as one of the tools employed by regulators and grid operators to provide incentives for consumers to change electric consumption patterns. If not already offered, utilities need to start thinking, holistically, about TOU rates.
While every state will have different TOU mandates, each utility will want to pursue a strategy that maximizes customer adoption and satisfaction. To accomplish that, utilities need analytics and insights to help them target, tailor and refine their strategy.
