Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Engineering Internship in our Meter Systems group, in Pullman, WA. This is an opportunity to practice engineering skills as you collaborate with an innovative team of engineers supporting state of the art meter systems. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support to SEL staff & customers.
2. Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.
3. Perform testing on new and existing technology.
4. Document and communicate test results.
5. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
6. Understand. Create. Simplify.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Student Majoring in Electrical Engineering
Fundamental knowledge of ac power systems
Ability to learn 3 phase power systems
Proficient in programming language(s)
Knowledge of working with DOS command prompts (or similar like Linux)
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
