Holy Cross Energy and NREL have partnered to pilot the first real-world test of ‘a cloud-based power plant’ system involving homes occupied by people.  Instead of modifying energy production at a centralized power plant, NODES' algorithm is optimizing the power balance by adjusting energy levels in the newly built residential solar-plus-storage systems. What are the benefits?  So far, it is cheaper, cleaner and more resilient.  What are the drawbacks?
