Tesla said this endeavor into distributed energy could surpass its car business. The company, with its Powerwalls, has dipped its toes into the virtual power plants in California. This new venture would have the company automatically buying and selling electricity for Powerwall owners in Texas. The results of this pilot in Texas will be interesting to watch.
