SDG&E continues to push the envelop with utility-scale energy storage. The utility will continue testing an experimental flow battery system to see if they can enhance reliability and increase flexibility of grid operations. Since 2017, when they began testing the battery, what have they learned about this new technology? Can the utility use energy storage to achieve 100% renewable energy on the grid?
