This commentary from Gary Aksamit, chairman of Americans for Electricity Choice, takes a look at what happens now that Nevada has passed Question 3. Question 3, also known as the Energy Choice Initiative, must pass another vote in 2018 before it can become a constitutional amendment. It's a circle back to the deregulation and open markets push of 15 years ago. The Las Vegas Sands was a primary backer of the push, unhappy with exit fees charged by NV Energy when it wanted to leave the fold.
