Energy: the best opportunity (Brazil)
Energy: the best opportunity (Brazil)
A fantastic and still untapped opportunity offers an alternative for energy cost reduction in Brazil.
It is about managing the use of 50 million instantaneous 5 kW electric showers, which represent the largest installed national electrical load.
For a reference, if all these showers were activated simultaneously, the national system operator would not be able to meet the demand.
My proposal is to encourage the use of these showers off-peak. It's a simple idea, easy to understand. If applied, it would release large installed capacity, avoiding new investments and thus bringing an important cost reduction for all energy users.
Every 10 million showers turned on simultaneously demand about 50 GW. Brazil has a maximum demand of 80 GW which includes residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and institutions.
I have a concrete suggestion to "make it happen". I am available to entrepreneurs who might be interested in this initiative.
