How can we decarbonize the power sector at a reasonable cost? Columbia's Energy Research Institute has the answer in the link above. The three pillars - zero-marginal cost variable power plants, firm, dispatchable zero carbon power plants, and energy storage - are already being built. Whether they are at reasonable costs or not, only time will tell because we still don't know the overall costs to fully develop and install them on the grid.
