Fight Continues Over Eminent Domain For Utility Line Across Missouri
When it comes to building electrical transmission infrastructure, views are evolving — from NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) to BANANA (Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone).
The latest example of this is Missouri, where the House earlier this month passed a bill that would stop construction of the Grain Belt Express by prohibiting the use of eminent domain to accrue the property needed for it.
The Missouri Senate has yet to take up the bill.
