Energy (Brazil): a governor's lucidity

Energy: a governor's lucidity

In a recent interview, the governor of the Minas Gerais (Brazil) state addressed the issue of state-controlled companies.

He said that foreign investors who sought the state, to study the interest and convenience of installing industrial units in Minas Gerais, found that the concessionaire could not come up with the necessary investments to connect it to the public grid.

He informed that the decision of the investors was then to look for other states of the federation in Brazil and even to prospect other countries in the region.

Then he asked what should we choose? Keep the company controlled by the state, making it impossible to attract new companies and institutions or privatize it so that the new controllers bring investments that enable the expansion of the economy generating jobs and income?

Naked and crudely that's what it's all about!
