Great news! Any indication on what the timeline is on the project roadmap? And will this create new jobs in these areas?

Matt, in my neck of NC, Randolph Telephone (our sister co-op) will supply broadband to more than 3000 of our electric co-op members.  Without a doubt, this grant will create not only short-term, immediate jobs (contractors) but also will enable those in the area to expand their business operations significantly due to faster internet speed.  You may have heard that the USGA just announced it would move its HQ and training facilities, along with some golf tourneys, to the Pinehurst area.  The area mentioned here is immediately north and west of Pinehurst, NC, in Moore County.  Randolph Electric is thrilled that our members there will get high speed internet.  I am excited to see the roll-out of 21st century infrastructure to aid the economy of this area.
