Energy efficiency programs in Ohio may finally get the funding they need. Some are celebrating the legislation passed last week. However, those opposed to the bill argue allowing utilities to collect funds from customers for energy efficiency programs will offer little in return. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy believes the benefits of energy efficiency, although long-term, would not only help households reduce their energy usage, it would lower their energy bills.
