Hi all, noting especially the IoT articles.

On my webspace at www.eleceffic.com you will find my Overview and Strategy, together with 22 Future Power System articles (Basics to Brave New World).

Although most of this is 10-15 years old I now find other Commentators and Academics coming up with the same views on Future Electricity and DER Flexibility.

Although I'm not sure if the overall impact and approach to DER participation (FPS 20/21) has been fully recognised.

With the big Hierarchical data management (Aggregation up, Dissemination down) we need to make it all work efficiently to reduce fuel burn, emissions and effectively integrate variable renewables.  All at reasonable cost and to be done quickly ('Brutal Pragmatism' as regards Primary Energy supply and emissions)!!,

And IoT is of course vital for automatic Appliance management.

I'll keep it short here but there is a lot more in my submission to the CCC (RA3).

Best Regards

The Energy Central Power Industry Network is based on one core idea - power industry professionals helping each other and advancing the industry by sharing and learning from each other.

If you have an experience or insight to share or have learned something from a conference or seminar, your peers and colleagues on Energy Central want to hear about it. It's also easy to share a link to an article you've liked or an industry resource that you think would be helpful.
