When I drive my EV past gas stations and see prices I haven't seen since I first learned to drive, it makes me a little sad that some of the cost benefit of my driving an EV is being taken away-- though that's only a small reason why I bought one. But for many people who would have been driven mainly by the cost benefits, I fear this will be a new challenge to overcome for the EV market. You could/should point to the fact that volatility in the oil market works in both ways and that's a sign for how expensive driving an ICE vehicle could very well become, but it's hard for people to understand and recognize that when they've paying less than $2 per gallon.

Julia-- how do you think talking points by EV advocates should account for the current situation?
